THE OPEN INDUSTRY 4.0 ALLIANCE AT SPS 2021
The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance will be showcasing current cooperation projects from the field of Industry 4.0 in Hall 5/160
Reinach, Switzerland / SPS Nuremberg, October 21, 2021 – The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance, founded at Hannover Messe in 2019, will present current cooperation projects from the field of Industry 4.0 at SPS in Nuremberg, the largest international trade fair for electrical automation technology, from November 23-25, 2021 under the motto "Connect to the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance." The trade fair audience will learn in Hall 5/160 how companies can benefit from the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance and how digitization projects are successfully implemented.
"The Alliance continues to enjoy very strong growth. Last year, we grew from 43 to around 90 members, including well-known companies such as Microsoft and Siemens," says Nils Herzberg, Spokesman of the Executive Board Open Industry 4.0 Alliance and Global Head Strategic Partnerships for Digital Supply Chain and Industry 4.0 at SAP. "The Corona pandemic has also put the focus on digitalization in industry. The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance is therefore exactly the right partner when it comes to smart connected production and support for digital transformation."
"We are also setting new records for collaborations among alliance members," explains Ekrem Yigitdoel, Managing Director of the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance. "We will present some exciting and collaboratively initiated digitization projects to the public for the first time at SPS 2021. In doing so, we also want to showcase our members' broad and innovative portfolio of offerings and their practical implementation to trade fair visitors in an exemplary manner."
CONNECT TO THE OPEN INDUSTRY 4.0 ALLIANCE
True to its motto, the alliance is also working closely with its own member companies at SPS 2021 and is highlighting this for the first time with a joint co-exhibitor concept. The alliance's booth will act as a central point of contact, providing an overview of all the OI4-related demos and exhibits that can be found at the partner booths. Some of the numerous industry and technology working groups of the alliance will also present their work at the booth. The basis for this: the shared, open ecosystem. In this way, the alliance is once again underlining its claim to be the leading implementation alliance for Industry 4.0. The following co-exhibitors will be represented at SPS 2021:

MARKETPLACE DIRECTORY GUARANTEES INTEROPERABILITY
The SPS also marks the launch of a key alliance project: the Marketplace Directory. In this common directory, all products and solutions of the members are bundled in one place. All the solutions listed there have been checked in advance by the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance according to a defined catalog of requirements. This process ensures that all products listed in the Marketplace Directory are fully compatible with each other. The directory is not only available to member companies, but can also be viewed openly on the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance website. This means that customers can put together a holistic overall solution that complies with the guidelines of the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance with just a few clicks. At the SPS, the directory is already starting with around 40 products and solutions, mainly from the applications and cloud sectors.
