OPEN Hyper Pitch Day II: A Clean Sweep for Our Members

Yesterday (3rd of December) at the OPEN Hyper Pitch Day, the top three places were claimed entirely by members of the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance. A fantastic result that high­lights the inno­v­a­tive strength within our commu­nity and shows what becomes possible when open­ness, collab­o­ra­tion and real indus­trial impact come together.

1st Place: FLECS, Emerson and gemi­ni­ware – “FLASH: Fast Life­cycle Apps for Smart Hard­ware”
The winning team impressed with a solu­tion that simpli­fies how indus­trial apps are devel­oped, deployed and updated. A clear sign of how soft­ware-defined automa­tion is already shaping the future of indus­trial oper­a­tions.

2nd Place: Uhlmann Group and Festo – “CoCoGen: Context-Oriented PLC Code Gener­a­tion”
Uhlmann and Festo presented an approach that auto­mates and accel­er­ates the creation of PLC code. This project shows how combining exper­tise from mechan­ical engi­neering and automa­tion can estab­lish powerful new stan­dards.

3rd Place: XITASO, fortiss, Twin­dus­trial and Festo – “SeSoFitCheck: Semantic Solu­tion Fit Checker”
The third-place team demon­strated how semantic tech­nolo­gies can be used to analyse indus­trial solu­tions and match them precisely to engi­neering needs. A strong example of how semantic inter­op­er­ability increases effi­ciency in devel­op­ment processes.
