We are the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance. Our mission is to build bridges between various compa­nies in Industry 4.0 and IIoT area, from small ones to the biggest in the world. 

The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance is a growing global imple­men­ta­tion alliance (non-profit indus­trial asso­ci­a­tion) with +100 member compa­nies and partner orga­ni­za­tion who are experts in Industry digi­tal­iza­tion, I4.0 solu­tions, imple­menting AI, and services from shop floor to top floor. The vision of the OI4 Alliance is busi­ness accel­er­a­tion through the imple­men­ta­tion of Industry 4.0 stan­dards and vertical & hori­zontal inte­gra­tion of data and processes.

Project Manager / Project Consul­tant (m/f/d)

Your tasks 

  • You will initiate and manage IIoT / I4.0 projects in collab­o­ra­tion with specialist depart­ments and external stake­holders of OI4 member compa­nies. This requires getting in touch directly and proac­tively with the OI4 repre­sen­ta­tives of our members and other project stake­holders.

  • This includes concep­tual work and presen­ta­tion of project proposals for harmo­niza­tion and digi­tal­iza­tion as well as oper­a­tional manage­ment of projects.
  • You will support multi-vendor imple­men­ta­tion of IIoT / I4.0 / AI projects by setting up meeting struc­tures, prepare meet­ings or to moderate meet­ings in the direc­tion of ‘creating tangible results’. Time­lines need to be aligned, and progress will be tracked (plan­ning, moni­toring, docu­men­ta­tion).
  • You will repre­sent projects results in regular meet­ings as well as on events on trade fairs like SPS Nürn­berg or Hannover Trade Fair
  • Your efforts will be a valu­able contri­bu­tion to the strategy of Open Industry Alliance as our members value the OI4 support for cross-company project execu­tion. Based on your expe­ri­ence you will help shape the bigger picture. At the same time, you will find freedom for ‘out-of-the-box-thinking’ to elab­o­rate on your own impulses.
  • Aligning with the team is inevitable: We are small in the core team, but powerful with the experts from our members. To meet our common goals, all team members collab­o­rate as our skills rely on each other.
  • You will support devel­op­ment and imple­men­ta­tion of our inter­na­tion­al­iza­tion & commu­nity activ­i­ties.
  • You will support project related content creation for our home­page and our social media chan­nels.

What you should bring with you

  • Success­fully completed studies in the field of economics, computer science, tech­nical training, or a compa­rable qual­i­fi­ca­tion
  • Several years of IT project manage­ment expe­ri­ence with a focus on trans­for­ma­tion projects in the IT envi­ron­ment (classic and cloud).
  • Fluency in German and English is a must. Addi­tional languages are a plus.
  • AAS-Skills / Digital Twin or AI Knowl­edge.
  • You are skilled in designing presen­ta­tions and commu­ni­ca­tion mate­rials, e.g. with Power­Point. Creating project-related content in an account­able, under­stand­able and proper way is impor­tant to us (e.g., to visu­alize the role and respon­si­bil­i­ties of project members according to a tech­nical project archi­tec­ture).
  • Towards projects content you are able to have a look from different perspec­tives, e.g., filtering in terms of what is rele­vant for marketing, story­telling or where it is neces­sary to dig into tech­nical details.
  • You have strong writing skills and the ability to trans­late complex topics into engaging content for various audi­ences.
  • You are proac­tive and willing to take on respon­si­bility from day 1 as part of the team and inde­pen­dently build your respon­si­bility area.
  • You are open towards different people, mind­sets and cultures with fire and resilience to grow and manage a digital commu­nity.
